As you know a big virus made the the rounds yesterday (an attachment with a Tennis stars' picture (supposedly)
I have to ask because I know our IS dept is going to be giving us lectures (we got the virus).
What is the possiblity of getting a virus from this bulletin board?
I have always assumed that it is is virtually nil (assuming one does not download anything), but again those evil ones who write viruses (and worms) are always coming up with new surprises for us

The Bulletin Board itself doesn't have any virii, but similar to amail system, it could possibly carry you to a place that does have a virus via a link. HTML can do things that you may not want to have done.
Most browsers have security setting that you can adjust so that a popup window will appear before anything really bad starts happening or certain things will never happen.Roger wrote:
