stuffy sound fixed was leaking pads upper bflt break but still plays sharp mouthpiece is in all the way anyone know if new mpc. will correct sharptone of alto and what brand

If it is playing sharp, you need to pull the mouthpiece a little. Make sure that you check across the range (from low Eb to high C) with an emphasis on open G.

I use a J.D. Hite mouthpiece on my Alto, and I like it very much. I haven't tried any others aside from the Leblanc mouthpiece that came with the instrument.

Most Alto's are designed with either a tuning slide in the neck or so that the neck is moved to adjust tuning. In my expierence most Altos, Basses, Contras are designed to work with the tuning slide out some. Its when you're flat with the mouthpiece and neck tight that you need to explore additional options.
