I have some good tips on my website about playing the bass clarinet. Most of us began on clarinet and then took up the bass. I've had a lot of experience teaching "clarinet" players how to play the bass when they had problems. The embouchure is not different, just a bit more relaxed and might me angled slightly different, breathing is the same it just takes more air. The major difference is in the voicing so read my bass clarinet pages on my site and you will get some good hints. Just remember, it's not a clarinet and it's not a saxophone, it's a bass clarinet.
