I looking for recordings and information on famous E-flat Soprano Clarinetists both past and present. Any recommendations for musicians to look out for? I have already been reading Peter Hadcock's material.

Chicago and the Cleveland orchestras both have some really good recordings with Eb players.

Maybe Eddie Palanker can lead you to some of his recordings.

For recordings of those rare Eb recital pieces, you might like to try Colin Bradbury with Panizza's "ballabile with variations" and Anna Hashimoto with Cavallini's "Carnival of Venice".

I'm the bass clarinetist of our orchestra so I've never recorded anything on Eb with our orchestra other than Mahler's 1st that has my part double of Eb for a short time. My suggestion is to look for recordings that have large solo Eb parts. Any of the major orchestra's have good Eb players. You can decide which pieces to get recording of from what the excerpts are. Look at Jessica Phillips' video "The E flat Clarinet Made Simple" on the backunmusical youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8xfRDzzCDU
