On the 26th, I will go to a shop to try backun fatboy in cocobolo on my E11 A clarinet. I am looking for a barrel that isnt resistant because I can't stand that at all. my current setup is a standard r13 A clarinet barrel. What changes in feeling and sound do I have to expect?

I can't address the difference between tgheFatboy and the standard R13 A barrel, but i will note that I have a much easier time projecting on my cocobollo Fatboy than I do with my Backun Traditional bbarrel of cocobollo, both on a Leblanc Symphonie Bb.
My suggestion would be to call Backun Musical Services before committing to ANY barrel purchase. They can make helpful suggestions as to what to expect and (more importantly) what NOT to expect.

It seems you already expect the fatboy to be less resistant, and you probably have an idea of the kind of sound you expect when you play on it. Otherwise, you wouldn't be limiting yourself to trying only a fatboy.
Different people will have different reactions, so (IMO) in the end you really should just try the barrel(s) without pre-judging it/them based on others' reactions. If one fits the expectations you already have, go with it. If not, widen your search.
FWIW, the one experience I had trying a variety of Buckun barrels showed me that each of Morrie's barrels are individual creations, so my reaction to the fatboys I tried wouldn't necessarily indicate much of anything about the fatboy(s) you'll be playing.

I found them easier blowing than the original equipment barrel that came with my Selmer 10G.

Likewise with clarinet barrels.
Your internet details suggest you are in San Francisco area.
Perhaps there is a music store or dealer or distributor that is large enough to have one in stock for you to try at the facility.
After that...why not go to Clark Fobes (he is in SF) and try his stuff.
There was a nice FB (since you seem to be Jonsing for an obese variety) on that auction site in the size you wanted at a good price that I am surprised you did not pursue (I mentioned it in your other thread, I believe), and there were/are other FB-oid/ish models of other makers plus the one you want....so give it a whirl.......unless, as you mention, you need to stick to the one brand that you have.

Allan Segal makes great barrels. Your time and money may be better spent by contacting him and getting exactly what will fit you and your instrument.
