Hello all,
-Really really nice mouthpiece both cl4 and cl5 have tried a dozen of them.
-Cl4 is (to me) more German, while Cl5 is (again, to me) more French.
-The pitch, though, is crazy high...???
-Noticeable: physically very short (probably a good 3-4 mm shorter than regular V)
-Was trying them for a student, very sad that the pitch is out of control because they produce such a nice hold on the sound, really really nice hold.
-With a longer (talking about 3-4 mm longer than usual 65-66 mm) would help, I suppose, but still, what are they made for? and why?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

It's my strong feeling that getting used to the pitch tendencies will be the GREATEST advantage since this will clear up the problem with the twelfths brought on by the preponderance of FLAT mouthpieces marketed for their 'dark tone.'
Never liked the idea behind the '13 Series' at all.

I tried some of these a couple of months back. There were some qualities that I liked, but the pitch issue was a deal breaker. Once I put the tuner on and saw how sharp they were, even once I pulled out, I could not imagine using them. I did not want to end up spending considerable time and money on barrels hoping I could get close to a workable pitch level.

Per Jim Metz, DANSR's marketing manager, in a recent correspondence regarding the intonation of the Masters mouthpieces:
"The Masters mouthpieces tune to A=442. We know this doesn’t work for everyone, so we’re developing some tuning rings to help bring it down to A=440. Those should be available soon. There are no plans at this time to develop a “13 Series” version."

The pitch of these mouthpieces is comparable to a non-13 series vandoren. However, I believe many will play even higher on these mouthpieces due to their tip opening that is (IMO) quite open. This will usually cause a decent amount of biting (more than necessary) that will make the pitch even higher.
It should only take 1-2mm in barrel difference to compensate. Also, practicing with a tuner and a slightly lighter reed will help.
I have a CL4 that I refaced (since the tip opening was around 1.10mm). It plays very well now with a much closer tip and medium long facing, similar to an m13 or m13 lyre. The pitch is still an issue, but not a 3-4mm issue.
The two masters series mouthpieces are similar to a 5RVlyre and M30 in their tip\facing measurements. Much of the mellowness, darkness, coveredness, or other "ness" is caused by this open tip. Some prefer this, but I have a list of reasons in my mind as to why this would not be ideal for many players.
I don't find them to be anything special as far as vandorens go. I get similar or better results refacing standard vandorens that are not 13 series.
Try them with a 67mm barrel and a strength 3 reed and you might get some decent result in the realm of intonation, but IMO requires more work than many other mouthpieces.

The story about tuning rings is interesting, makes me believe that there are quite some people out there that like them but just can't stand the pitch so V has to create such ring to solve the problem.

thank for your great advices, but since I wasn't trying to get them for myself (I was trying them for students), the choice of putting it together with a 67mm barrel won't be possible, or quite hard since most of my student own only common 65-66. Barrels these day are very pricey. I was just sad that it didn't work out. I really like them the MO V.
So, until there's a solution, M30 is a really great mouthpiece and most importantly, kids like it. It's just doesn't sound as sweet to my ear.
