When did Buffet start using the banner on the inside of the case with "The most beautiful sound ever heard?""

I had a 60's R13 with this, but it seems they used this even in the pre R13 era?

thanks!

The banner on my 1960s R13 read "The Sweetest Clarinet Ever Made." I don't think I've seen one about beautiful sound.

Was that a US only thing?

The 1962 Eb clarinet I bought from the US had the black fake leather covered case with blue lining and had that ribbon in the lid. I've never seen any old Buffet cases with the ribbon in the UK.

I'm also curious as to the cases themselves, I see alot of old pre R13's in the wood case in which the clarinet fits in two sections, with the bell and barrel attached.

Then at some point it was the case with the famous phrase.

My 1918 Albert system Buffet had ''$800'' marked on it.

The most beautiful sound ever heard? My friends old 427 small block (yes you read that correctly) with a rough cam and open pipes.

Beautiful............. until you go deaf after 20 minutes.

Why do all of my clarinets have a nice blue label on the inside top lid that says "The Most Godawful Noise Ever Produced"?

"The most beautiful sound ever heard" Must have ordered too many for the number of oboe cases they made those years and decided to throw the clarinets a bone. Hee hee hee.
