 Trouble with band warm up
Author: LegendClarinet

In band we have been doing this warm up that I just can't get. I am sure I am over thinking this, but I just don't understand it! We start on concert Bb and go five up and down followed by arpeggios. Then we are supposed to do scales up chromatically five up and down with arpeggios starting with Concert Bb(our C Major). What would the order of scales be? Scales just tend to confuse me!!!

I may not understand your question, but the order of scales would be the chromatic scale - C, C#/Db, D, Eb, E, F, etc. Get yourself a good list of scales and play them every time you practice because they shouldn't be something that confuses you, but enlightens and magnifies your playing ability. There are all kinds of scale resources to be found with a Google search.
