Hello,
I am a latecomer to clarinet(you may remember my 'cry-from-the heart' post re scales after my recent Grade 4 exam! )
So the repertoire and performers and all that are all very new to me. I find this b board so informative and everyone very generous sharing expertise and information.
Anyway, Movement 2 of the F minor concerto is on the list for Grade 5 and I have been looking at it. I know it's very important to listen to great players. There is a recording of Sergio Bosi on youtube ( but he didn't actually record it on CD) and I have seen one by Sabine Meyer.
I live in rural Australia so have to purchase online.
I know it's very subjective but would anyone care to list their favourite recording?
Thank you

Sabine is excellent, technique is the best. Very very gifted. Plays German style clarinets. Her husband also plays, but Sabine is really a master. The first woman ever to sit in the Berlin Phil.
She's cute too! She took a trip to Rico once. : ) Speaks excellent English

Youtube is a very good resource.
You can hear a lot of the pro's on Youtube especially for Mozarts concerto!
I have recordings of Weber 2 by Ernst Ottensamer, Jon Manasse and Charles Neidich which are all very good, believe they're available on the iTunes store.
Also just be aware the F minor concerto is Weber 1, the recordings I mentioned above were for Weber 2.
Good luck :p
