I'll bet that your local computer has cached what it thinks is the proper address - but Sneezy has moved to a new location with new IP numbers. If your local machine has kept the old numbers around it won't be able to find things.
I found that my telnet application had created its own "hosts" file where it placed the address of Sneezy. You can imagine my consternation on not being able to telnet from my machine upstairs to Sneezy sitting in the basement! A different telnet app worked just fine, though, and the web pages came up.
I searched on my hard drives for files named "hosts" and made sure that the entries didn't include sneezy or any other machine I cared about.
Sometimes those programs are just too helpful!
