Hey, I'm back again. This time with not so much a clarinet question but I'm posting this on different boards hoping for help. Our community band is searching for a score for Prokofieff's Peter and the Wolf arranged for concert band. We want to do a children's concert and include this piece. I've been put in charge of finding this score. So far I've had no luck. I've checked with several publishers and with Peppers and they all tell me that the piece is out of print. Any suggestions as to where I can look for the score? Any organizations willing to help us out? Thanks a bunch.

Beth,
Have you tried musical libraries ?
In Geneva we have one, there should probably be one in the nearest big city of where you live.
Good luck

Hey Beth,
I played that piece in an honor band 2 years ago. Our guest conductor was Dr. Stephen Farnsley from Cumberland University in Lebanon Tennessee (right outside of Nashville). I'm sure if you contacted him, you could work something out. I can't give you his e-mail, but if you go to www.cumberland.edu and go to the music section, you can get it! I hope you have fun with this piece....it's great!
Good luck,

I have a full score containing a number of Prokofiev's works.
You know, all of Prokoviev's full scores are written in CONCERT PITCH. The parts are transposed but not the full scores.
I know of no email address. In fact, they don't accept telephone orders either. But they have a magnificient collection of full scores plus more. I don't know if the Prokofiev is still in print.
The address is:
Dover Publications,Inc.
31 East 2nd Street
Mineola, NY 11501

Thank you all for your suggestions. I'm contacting Dover Publications and Dr. Farnsley today. I don't know of any music libraries near us, but I've got a call in to a university thats about 1.5 hrs north of us. They sponsor a youth orchestra, so I'm checking with them to see if they might have the score also. You've been great!
