I recently stumbled upon my old Selmer mouthpiece. It came with my ollllld 1934 Selmer BT clarinet.
On the front of the mouthpiece is a very small (1/4'' diameter) brass or gold plate with the selmer logo and below that is a signature that reads 'H.Selmer". Engraved on the table/reed bed is "precision garantie'' and ''table s'' and it even has a serial number on it 32109.
If anyone is farmiliar with this mouthpiece I'd appreciate any info on it

These are very good quality blanks. I have known some who have had these refaced and played them with very good results. From what I know, the number is not a serial number, but a facing number- 32 length, 109 tip

I know a very fine player (who has, among other things, played principal for London Symphony) who would kill you for that mouthpiece blank!

They tend to be great blanks, but some of them have too big a bore for many modern clarinets, such as the Buffet R13, Leblanc Opus, etc., and therefore don't play in tune if that's your preferred type of clarinet. (Some play just fine on a Buffet.) If you're playing on the 1934 BT, it will probably work very well, but will probably need a refacing. I'm too busy to take on new projects, but there are several refacers who would love to work on that for you.

Those can be top notch mouthpieces. Indeed they sometimes come with larger dimensions but I have always found a solution which makes them play well, and the ones with the smaller bores and chambers can come out as good as it gets.
