How do you carry a clarinet in a case-- with all the joints connected, and the instrument ready to play?
Where can I buy a case for an assembled clarinet?
Please help.

Why would you want to do this? It seems to me that all of the negative points out weight any positives that you would gain.
You could get an old metal clarinet they came in one piece.

They (whom ever "they" are) must make them. I had a meeting with Tom Ridenour who was on his way to meet an internationally famous clarinetist interested in trying the LeBlanc Concerto. He had, with him, a case containing eight, fully assembled clarinets, side by side, for the artist to audition. Unfortunately, I have no idea who made the case, but it was truely unique....and huge. IMHO, it would be nice to be able to show up at an orchestra gig and be able to take my instruments out, fully assembled. Packing up after would also be a "snap" but I don't think that I would want to leave the instruments fully assembled all the time. The moisture that collects in the tendon sockets would eventually cause problems. In any case (no pun intended :>)) good luck in your search and let us know what you find. Good clarineting.

Try eBay. Every day there are several metal horns with fair to middlin' cases. Toss the horn, keep the case. Many are cheap, many are not cheap - be patient 'til you find one that suits your purpose.

hey.. i bought a reunion blues straight soprano sax case (gig bag) and created a foam thing to stick inbetween my Bb and my A and it carries both really well but it is just a soft gig bag so it doesn't afford much protection but for running from one place to another when i know (like practice to concert) it works great (as i know i can trust myself with it)

As someone said, why would you want such a case?
Many Eb clarinets come with cases like that. The biggest downer is that the tennon corks get compressed over time, resulting in a loose fit. I have taken to storing the barrel wrapped in cloth inside the bell, to avoid one of the compression problems, but still have to solve the compression at the bell joint.
