 Barrel and MP alignment with upper joint

I am curious of how other clarinet players' set the mouthpiece and barrel to the upper joint.
I personaly think they are about about 5-10 degrees couterclockwise viewed from us to compensate the length unbalance of right and left arms.

I'd think it's an individual choice. I prefer to line up my reed, centered with the register key. The barrel, I've never really considered -- I stick it on -- it's set.

I set up the two joints aligned by the key, of course. Then, I line up the bell to the proof mark, the barrel to the proof mark, and initially the mp to the register key. I then apply the reed and lig, again initially lined up to the register key. Then, I give the mp rig a slight ccw turn to account mainly for my own teeth and my personal preference for placing the mp in my mouth.

I believe Jim is right. Most folks set it up by the book for initial guidance, then make minor tweaks for their own taste and personal preferences.

Thanks.The reason I selected my way:when I brought my clarinet to an experienced repairman,he asked how upper and lower joints are set.I found by this question that some pros set diffrently.Everyone seems to be taught all marks in line at the beginners level,but I found we can take personal choices:diffrent teeths and different arms lengths.
