i have two penzel mueller clarinets. they have pictures.. i want to know how old they are and how much they are worth... the serial numbers are

As far as I know there are no serial number lists for Penzel Mueller still in existance. The company was in business from the early 1900's until the 1950's. If your clarinets have a model name listed on them is may help to narrow down their age. Value is not very high. Many of the P-M clarinets are very good players but since it is not a well known company they don't attract a lot of interest so selling prices tend to be <$100 for unrestored examples and up to maybe ~$400 for freshly restored ones depending on the model. There are a couple of exceptions to this rule however. The P-M metal clarinet labelled "Clari-Met" is very desireable will usually sell for >$500. The "Super Brilliante" model was P-M's top model and is also somewhat desireable and may command a higher price.
I personally have 6 P-M clarinets (3 Brilliante's, 1 Artist, 1 Empire State, 1 early Albert system, and 1 early boehm system). Most of them are good players and will play as well as any other used clarinet you could get for <$500. Don't expect them to play as well as a new $3000 clarinet however.

I just overhauled a full-Boehm Penzel-Mueller "Artist Model", I'm guessing ca. 1950s or even 1960s, and it is a really fine player. I can't quite read the serial number, but I believe it has five digits.

As for serial numbers, here's what I'm got:
Artist Model c.1950's - M2329-B (military issue)
Empire State c.1940's - R 12174
Early P-M boehm (no model) c.1920's - 7506
Early P-M albert (no model) c. 1900's - no serial number
Brilliante #1 c.1950's - M3856-B
Brilliante #2 c.1950's - M4871-B
Brilliante #3 c.1950's - U1348-B
The later models all appear to have a letter prior to the number. I have attached photos of the logos from my two early P-M clarinets. Do your logos match either of these?
