Great news for New York. Philly, not so much.

I wonder how long Mark Nuccio will stay. He's done an outstanding job since Stanley's retirement and he deserves a principal's spot somewhere.

Congratulations Ricardo. I am proud of you and delighted to hear that you were playing the Cocobolo MoBa Clarinets and the new "non rubber" MOBA mouthpiece for the audition and trial with the orchestra. New York will be lucky to have you!

Congrats to Ricardo. Now that he is taken, perhaps the Chicago folks will make up their minds. My hope is that they appoint John Bruce-Yeh as permanent principal. He is already "there", playing magniciently and has proven tough enough to survive the Windy's fidgid winters.

I congratulated Ricardo by email just before, I don't know if he'll get it, but it was worth the gesture. I'm glad we'll be seeing a lot more of him around here!

As far a Nuccio going someplace else, he's a fine player but it's not like he hasn't already tried to go someplace else. Maybe I'm wrong, but I believe he auditioned for Chicago. Will he get Philly, usually when a player takes another job they get a year leave of absence so he'll have to wait a while to even audition. Then he has to follow Ricardo, not an easy feat. And we have to remember, he still has a pretty good job as assistant or associate and Eb in one of the greatest and well paid, I repeat, well paid orchestra's in the world. I don't see him leaving so fast. He'll get over the disappointment soon enough and swallow his pride, at least that's my prediction. He'll do just fine. ESP http://eddiesclarinet.com

Well.......actually......... I am just VERY proud of Ricardo and the work that we do together. Sorry if you see it as a plug....It is great to see a major orchestra MAKE A CHOICE and offer the job to someone.

What can one say, he's fantastic. The most sort after clarinetist in the world. I'm so proud that I am a friend and had the opportunity to work with him as a teenager. When he was not me. :-) ESP http://eddiesclarinet.com

Morrie,
A simple congratulations normally does the job. Enough with the Ricardo is amazing because he used my gear. Please.
He was great before your gear, and he will be great after your gear.
