Hey Bboard,
Every once in a while I check the orchestral jobs going on musicalchairs.info to see whether the orchestra websites have the audition excerpts available for download.
The latest job posted is for the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne in Switzerland and it has some great excerpts that aren't often asked for. You can download free PDF's of Ginastera Variations Concertantes, Honegger Symphony No. 4, Ravel Mother Goose Suite and Strauss Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme (english translation? anyone?)
You can download the excerpts from here
Enjoy!
2E.

"Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme" is commonly translated as "The Bourgeois Gentleman" or "The Middle-Class Aristocrat" or "The Would-Be Noble". It is a Molière satire about a rich citizen trying to imitate aristocratic lifestyle.

A quick perusal yields the following:
The Peter and the Wolf excerpt is lifted right out of the 1st volume of International Orchestral Excerpts - complete with note mistakes!!
And as to the Ginastera - does anyone actually play it on Bb clarinet?

this video is the best I could find of this excerpt played without orchestra - he does the first page on Bb, 7 bars rest to switch to A for the second page.
Very nicely done too :p
