Not nearly as good as the joke in Glenn's link, but ...

I was at a rehearsal last night for a high school production of Music Man. Right in the middle of a big production number, at a signal from our director, all of us in the pit launched into cacophony. Cracked up the kids on stage.

Also, during a break for blocking, our director decided to practice some sections of the "It's You" ballet (a slightly-off waltz). Sitting right in front of her, I decided to make it just a little more "off" by playing my part on my A clarinet and see how long it would take her to notice. She never did [frown]

, but the piccolo player sitting next to me stopped several times, frowned at her piccolo and fiddled with her head joint.

My daughter found a photo online of a wrecked car, the same make/model/color as hers, and posted it on facebook: "Anybody got $5K for a new car? thank you )(*&^ who don't know how to park....at least have the decency to leave your information behind."

Good thing she texted her parents the truth first...

FWIW--the director in the April fool video, Steve Kurr, is a very popular orchestra director, is responsible for developing one of our area's largest and best high school ensembles and was chosen to conduct Madison area's newly founded Middleton Community Orchestra, an ensemble of about 80 area amatuer musicians. Steve is also the principal violist with the Beloit/Janesville Symphony Orchestra and plays percussion with the Madison Wind Ensemble, musical groups I also play with. Just wanted to clarify his talent and dedication to teaching music in case anyone got a wrong impression from the hilarious video produced last year.
