I just purchased my first Eb Albert off the site that shall not be named. Since this type of instrument is new to me, where can I buy pads? I tried the search and didn't see anything specific.
Any help would be appreciated,
Joe

I buy pads online from
www.MusicMedic.com
They offer a good service and a fair range of pads in all sizes for just about anything you can blow.

I've bought pads from Ferree's Tools in the US, and Zheng Hao Music (China). Both have websites you can order from. You should search the Clarinet BBoard archives for the many articles on DIY pad replacement techniques, measuring for pads, etc.

Music Medic is great! But for Eb clarinet you will need some pretty small pads, and the smallest clarinet pad they offer is 8mm.
If you need any pads smaller than 8mm, check JL Smith, they carry clarinet pads in 7mm and 7.5mm, and piccolo/oboe pads starting as small as 6.5mm.

I've dealt with Ferree's for a number of years now and have found them prompt, professional and a pleasure to do business with. The variety and quality of the products (including pads for both antique and modern E-flat sopranos, by the way) has been outstanding. (I'm not connected with the store in any way except as a small-time customer.)
