hi,
I am the founder and director of my high schools clarinet choir. I need to know if there is any recomended mucic for me to use. We have Bb's, Bass Bb's, and Eb Alto's. The best one yet that we have is to a wild rose. This is the first year that we started this choir so we need kind of easy music.

Brymer's book has a cl ch listing of music. We had a good group for several years in Tulsa and a large book ranging from jazz to classic, so arrangements are out there. Will help with titles if you need. Don

I am a member of a clarinet quartet and sometimes a quintet,
3Bb, Ebalto and Bass. I have located several selections from wind music plus, and Penders music store in Denton, texas. They are grade 3's.Another member found some nice modern selections at Carl Fischer's in New York. There are alot of mix and match ensembe music books out there for the Bb instruments and them add the Eb instruments. You can order alot of music on line but it just takes some time. Good luck.

There's a Mendelssohn "Tarantella" arrangement that's quite a blast for clarinet choir (and has a part for everyone, including alto and contrabass clarinets).
Now if you just have four soprano clarinets, the "French Suite" by Yvonne Desportes is too good to pass up.

OK This is something I know a bit about. These are all pretty much grade 3 pieces (or a little harder, might need someone who can play above hi C well for the jazz pieces).
Vaughn Williams "A Winter's Willow" is gorgeous and great for teaching ensemble and intonation. This is an arrangement by Ronald Dishinger.
WARNING, DANGER WILL ROBINSON: Dishinger can write well, or really lame. And he writes a LOT of clarinet choir/quartet music. Do not attempt Vivaldi's Concerto in A Major unless yyou have a warhorse 1st clarinet section. The rest of the piece is scored VERY thinly and the others will get bored.
Lennie Niehaus has a few really nice arrangements - the ones I like are "Wood Tacks" and "Spring into Swing." What they are really is jazz band sax section type music written for clarinet choir - jazz is his field of expertise - and the latter really wants a drummer. Have a set drummer who can fake a part? LOL But it sounds good without one. But pretty much anything Niehaus writes will be decent.
Elliot DelBorgo has a piece called "An Irish Suite" which is a Very nice arrangement of Kerry Dance/Lullaby/Irish Washerwoman.
There is the English Madrigal Suite (also a Dishinger arrangement) that is pretty good, but the way it's written make sure you have someone who can really count on every part.
AND then there is the Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (transcribed by F. Sacchi). There are four movements to this - I have three of them (can't find the 3rd mvt), and they are Great. You can buy each movement separately. They are probably grade 3-4, but the kids will probably know the pieces so they won't be as hard.
I hope that's diverse enough for you for a start! I really highly recommend all of these.
If you want to see our group (or half of it anyway) go to:
www.chesco.com/~thomas/ and click on the link for the Cambiare Clarinet Consort. It's just our picture, I am slow doing the page, LOL. And half the kids were at a track meet but I needed a picture for a press kit fast!!! LOL
Lynn
