 Wall Vibrations and Tone

More gasoline on the fire. http://perso.univ-lemans.fr/~jgilbert/ArticlesPageWeb/2008_Nief&al_JASA_Influence_wall_vib.pdf

A very slight effect of wall vibrations on tone is possible in theory (though not in practice) where a clarinet mouthpiece is put on a very thin brass tube (about half the thickness of a flute tube) that is bent into a highly oval shape.

Good luck following the math.
