Hi all,
I been looking at the pencil sketches of the Concerto by Copland and have looked at some of the older posts here...
Where is the extreme C# at the end of the piece?
Copland did write C# / B but he did not put any notes on the score for it to be played 8ve higher... and the B - C# - (D) appears only in the middle of the fast section.
The last four bars according to the manuscript is
Bb (8ve higher notated), drops down (Db, not 8ve notated), then to (Gb) then to low (Eb)...
In both sketches it was written like this...
Is there any information or corrospondence letter talking about it? There seems to be nothing on the Library of Congress mentioning recorded conversation between Copland and Benny...
The manuscript images frm 60+ and 105+ if anyone is interested in looking at the original manuscript at the Library of Congress, Aaron Copland Collection.
