I have a "Saintememe" brand wood B-flat clarinet, and another local musician (it turns out) has the same brand clarinet in "A". Neither one of us has been able to find anything about this brand -- Mark et al, could you possibly check Langiwill's or Rendall? Both of our clarinets have a rooster logo; I'd guess mine dates from the 30's or 40's, based on some details of the keywork. Thanks in advance.

Dave - No mention in Rendall, Brymer, Baines as above. I'll look a bit further as "Saint[e] Meme [or St.Ememe ]" . Are there other versions? You might ask Al Rice [on early-clarinet] , he has much of the older info available. Luck, Don

Yes, Boehm.
In addition, my "A" has the name "Stadlmeir" above the Saintememe rooster, and the illegible name of a New York importer.

Do you like this clarinet? I've found a Saintememe (rooster and all) and am wondering if it's worth taking a look at.

according to the akashic records E. Saintmeme was a woodwind maker in Paris from 1895 to around 1926. Clarinet/flute/oboe specialist. Also made keys and springs. That's all, folks!

So did you access the akashic records while under hypnosis or through astral projection?

I was looking at one on the auction site and found this string. I've decided to let someone else try it out and report back to all of the rest of us
(My vintage clarinet cup runneth over at the moment!)
