You don't need a bassoon. A didgeridoo may do just as much for your sleep apnea.

I have sleep apnea and my sleep specialist just got a didgeridoo so he can demonstrate it to patients. He agrees that the key is probably the circular breathing required, which is a good thing, because the lip-flapping of a didgeridoo isn't going to do much for a clarinet embouchure.
