Yamaha V Series & Inter-Change-a-Bore Barrel
Author: Mark Charette

Anyone on the BBoard have experience with either Yamaha product? I got invited over to the Yamaha factory to try both after I asked about the Inter-Change-a-Bore Clarinet Barrel System (I found it at www.yamaha.com/band -> Press releases -> Yamaha Introduces a Revolutionary Clarinet Tuning Barrel System

They asked me over to try it and the "V" series. My lucky son gets dragged along, too (spring break time right now for him).

have not heard of this V series. tell us more after your experience ;P

I have only tried a few models of Yamaha clarinet.
one is the intermediate 34MkII which seem pretty good for its class.
..and Yamaha Custom Series "SE" which my band recently acquire. the horn seem to be slightly heavier than my RC.
and it comes with a short barrel (64mm) for all the SE.
does anyone have any experience with Yamaha Custom series clarinets?
