I know someone who can cover a case with just about any material you wish. He removes the existing cover and replaces it with the covering of your choice. Sorry, don't know what he charges.

Another possibility, though it's a bit of work: Yard sales and flea markets sell all sorts of tweed-covered small luggage. It was popular from about 1910 until just after WWII. Even the smallest cases, the ones suitable for clarinets, are generally made of wood and quite sturdy. You might even find an attaché case (probably from the period just before WWI -- tweed wasn't popular for attachés after that) -- perfect for fitting out as a clarinet case with extra room for a generous doodad compartment. Making the wooden inserts, padding them and lining the case is a job you might not want, but if you've got a home workshop and you enjoy doing that sort of thing, you can get a fine, custom case that way.
