If you have netflix, you can find the movie THEY CAME TO PLAY on instant play. It's under documentary. And it's DEFINITELY worth checking out!
It was PHENOMENAL!!! It follows a few amateur pianists along their route to a competition. The rules of the competition are you have to be over the age of 35, and cannot be under management for performing. Some of the players were doctors, dental assistants, teachers, a lockheed martin engineer, and retirees.
This movie REALLY is inspiring to see the level of musicianship and musicality that some of these people manage to achieve after taking 10 or more years off from playing, and playing after a full-days work while still making time for families.
GREAT to watch, and without putting out spoilers, I was VERY happy with the person who won it. Definitely someone I felt deserved it! This is one instant play I'll definitely end up owning!
