I posted this on the klarinet list a couple of weeks ago, but no one was able to come up with an answer.
Can anyone identify this piece? This is page 3. It was used for an audition and the judges were only given the second and third pages. The player started on the last line of page 2. It appears to me to be a work for solo clarinet as there are no rests at all. It might be from a book of etudes but the page numbering suggests otherwise to me.
I sent it to Howard Klug and he described it as weirdly tonal with awkward tremolos. He did not recognize it.

The typography looks just like that of the Francaix Concerto so I think it was published by Editions Transatlantiques.

Interesting comments. I compared the piece to the 11 ETUDES SUR DES MODES KARNATIQUES CLARINETTE. It has a similar look but it isn't it. Leduc has one book of etudes and one piece for solo clarinet that I don't have so I may order them our of curiosity.
