I buzzed by the search and there was only one thread, a rather hasty and old one, regarding this clarinet.
It's a Lamott wooden clarinet, thought to be from the 1920's but nobody knows if this is true, and I can't find anything on this instrument. Perhaps I'm misreading it, could it be a LaMonte? The markings are extremely worn.
I was wondering if anyone knew what the keys are made of (pot metal or what), and anything else at all about the company, history, etc.
Has anyone ever worked on one? Is is a CSO? Worth fixing up?
I've never seen one like it before, and it seems to be a fairly good quality instrument.

You are probably not misreading it. There was a Rene Lamott during the first half of the C20. Mark - "Rene Lamott, Paris". He may have been a small maker or a dealer - don't know which. If a dealer the maker could have been anybody.
If it were "LaMonte", this was a name used, I believe, around the 1950s - 1960s for WWIs imported to the US. It was certainly used by Martin Freres, but may have been used for other makers' instruments too.
In neither case do you need to worry about pot-metal keys. Nor should you worry about this horn having any great value but may be worth fixing (if not too expensive) for your own use. A tech could give you advice

Thanks, Chris! I appreciate your information. I was hoping to be able to restore it to a nice playing condition, not really aiming to get a million bucks from it, it doesn't have too much work that needs to be done.
I'll keep it if I like it enough, if not, someone's going to want it somewhere. ;^)
