Anyone know waht the mouthpiece cap on the new R13s (like from a few months ago) is made out of? silver? nickel? aluminum? steel????

I just got one for X-mas. They appear to be made out of silver, but I'm not 100% sure.

I believe that, in keeping with their upscale image, Buffet currently makes their mouthpiece caps out of rhodium-plated unobtanium alloy (with tungsten-cowhide trim).

LOL Dave. And that is why the clarinet has that shining, etherial, penetrating, flexible tone that improves when the mouthpiece is on, in keeping with the current trend.
Seriously, if they bothered making that from silver then all the keys would be silver too, and it would have been a special model that you would not have got for Christmas.
