Hello all - I seem to remember that this was discussed in the past, but couldn't find it on a quick search of the archives.
I need a new double case for my Yamaha CSG Bb clarinet and Yamaha CX A. I seem to recall that the BAM Trekking case was recommended. Can someone who owns these confirm? Or, offer other suggestions?
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
I'm currently using a BAM Trekking double case for my CSG clarinets. Despite the long length of the upper joint on the CSG, the foam in the BAM case is easily compressed to fit it.
If you have the $ to spend, you could also go and get a Wiseman case with CSG-sized inserts as well.

BAM does make cases for the German market and these would be an ideal fit for the CSG. The problem would be finding a local dealer willing to order one for you. I had a Boston dealer do such a thing, but it took about four months to receive because it had to come with his usual shipments that arrived on transit ship.

I use the BAM trekking double case for my R13s. I like it. It's one of the few multi-clarinet cases I've seen where the lower joint and bell are stored separately in the case (my Gigliotti triple has that feature as well; unfortunately that case has been retired due to broken zipper and broken hinges).
That's one thing I don't like about my eefer case; the barrel, body, and bell stay together.

I am currently using the Marcus Bonna double case. BEST IN THE WORLD!!!!!!! It has adjustable foam inserts that hold the horn in place. I currently use Opus clarinets but it will adapt easily for the CSG's which I am trying to transfer to currently.
