You've probably got the only left-handed bass clarinet in the world there!
Only joking. These were made for Buffet by Marlerne to fill a gap in Buffet's lineup (as Buffet themselves only made pro level basses) - they were made in both plastic (or ebonite) and wood, also with one- and two-piece bodies.
I don't think it's as old as the serial number suggests (as these would have a Malerne serial number that won't correspond to Buffet's numbering system) - it probably dates from the '60s or '70s.
