In the first movement, 28th measure, I think, th c# to f# is giving me a lot of trouble. I can get it out, but not very well. On recordings I've heard, they usually get the f# out flawlessly. Do you have any advice?

For this one, you might find it useful to consult the Ridenour book of clarinet fingerings or the Woodwind Fingering Guide webpage (it's on sneezy). I've found that problems like that are usually due to whether or not fingerings work on an individual horn; try another and you might find it a lot easier. Also, drill it slowly and gradually build up speed. It's tedious, but years of that sort of practise is what turns out really good performances, and the same fingering switch will never be a problem for you again. Hope this helps.

If that's the F# i'm thinking about, i use regular fingering for C# and then play F# like clarion Bb (thumb, register, 1,2, 1st side key).
