Local player is selling 10S (1978) and I'm going to meet him today.
He said horn is in very good condition.
Is $550 fair price?
How does 10S sound compare with my R13?
I love to have another horn that gives me little darker tone.

Bought this horn.
Tried and compared with my Buffet.
- Setup : Scott aa2 barrel, Fobes CF, Gonzalez FOF 3.75
10S sounds richer, darker, fuller
R13 sounds sweet, mellow but bit thinner than 10S
On 10S,
Backun Moba cocobollo > Scott aa2 >= stock barrel
Fobes CF > Bonade Qualite Superieure > oval Selmer
Keywork,
It's bit hard for me to get C#/G# key.
It's somewhat different from R13.
Folks, don't overlook Selmer 10S.
This is a real nice horn for the money.

One of my customers has been hounding me to sell him some of my clarinets for the last 4-5 years. I finally relented and sold him my CT, mid 60s R-13 and a E-13 Master Model. All of these were overhauled and the keys, posts and rings silver plated. Beautiful horns sold for a good price.
The first thing I did was buy a 10S, that I have been coveting for some time, from another customer. Man, it is a fantastic clarinet. I don't know if it's good enough for me to get rid of my beloved R-13 Vintage, but it plays really well.

I agree.
I'm thinking about selling my lovely R13(1971)..... but I probably not.
Again, 10S plays really well.
