Does anyone have an extra G# throat key from a Signet or other older USA Selmer Bb clarinet? Need not be clean, padded or in pristine plating shape but must have unstuck set screw. Will pay whatever's reasonable.

Most of the Signet keys are interchangeable with the CL 300 keys. I'm pretty sure these are still available. I bet your local instrument repair facility will have one or two cadaver (parts) clarinets that you may be able to purchase a part from.

Reading between the lines, if a stuck set screw is the only problem these can usually be freed by penetrating oil &/or heat.

...and if Ian is right about this being the problem, you might even be able to save the screw, and if not it would be possible to just replace the screw.

Actually the set screw was stuck and I tried WD 40, proceeded to mutilate the screw head and then ended up drilling it out and wrecked the whole gizmo. Live and learn. I hope. So if somebody's got one, lemme know. I live in the boonies and no car so I'm gong to have to get it through the mail anyway.
