I have just been sent a copy of this and was rather overwhelmed by its size, density and complexity. Has anyone any advice as to how I can use it? I can't see myself starting at page 1 and working through. I have been playing for about 2 years and just want to improve for my own pleasure.....
Thanks in advance.

I like it most for the 163 "exercises de mecanisme' and the 45 tuneful exercises beginning on page 103. I sometimes use the 633 daily exercises to work on particular fingering problems. Even if you don't get around to everything, the book is well worth having as a reference.
