Is anyone familiar with Jun Qian at St. Olaf? It sounds like he is a wonderfully talented player. How is he as a teacher? He describes himself as "a very demanding teacher who believes in high quality education (not only music, but also in arts and science)"
So, would a talented, but shy, quiet, reserved girl find him terrifying? Or, is he demanding but in a gentle way? My daughter's private teacher is demanding, but in a good way. My daughter has thrived under her teaching.
The clarinet teacher is really a make it/break it point in her college selection.
Thanks for any input!

Is it possible for your daughter to take a "get acquainted" lesson?

Don't be afraid of those comments. Embrace them.Would you rather he say the opposite?
