"Adler & Co" is probably Oscar Adler in business at M'Kirchen from 1885 - around 1950. Oscar died in 1922. Around the turn of the century he was alleged to be the biggest maker of woodwinds in Germany. Also made saxophones. Business passed into other hands in 1909 but the new owners retained the name.

Oscar Adler & Co is still making clarinets today so you might consider contacting them to ask. They merged with Gebrüder Mönnig and are still located in Markneukirchen. These days they are only making German System and Oehler System clarinets but they probably made Boehm clarinets at some point. According to the website they are putting together an information page on "former instruments" so it's possible they have some of the old records on hand. Worth a shot at any rate.

Wonderful looking horns!!!
Does anyone know if being an "East German" maker, these horns would have been found in the Leipzig and Dresden orchestras before the Wall fell?

I know Moennig Brothers made Boehm system clarinets. I've got one. It is double vented on the long F/C, as was popular in the 50s and 60s.

I also have a boehm system Moennig Brothers clarinet but have never been able to positively confirm whether or not it was actually made by Gebrüder Mönnig or whether it was just a stencil. Do you have any more info on this?
