 Rovner's "Turbo Charger"

Okay, yes, it sort of seems like a marketing gimmick. I was wondering if it makes much/any difference, such as response or substance of tone.

I recently acquired a Rovner Evo-5. I like having the metal posts against the reed, which resembles the Eddie Daniels II. Believe it or not, I prefer this setting much more than my EDII ligature. Has anyone actually tried the "Turbo Charger" for the Evo-5 or Star Series?
