 Anyone Looping/Recording

I wondered if anyone here on the Board was doing any recording with computer, or digital looping of clarinet music? Maybe putting tracks to drum/bass or guitar?

Just a thought...

I haven't but several of my friends suggested this as a way to work as a soloist...I'm always complaining about never being able to get gigs just by myself! :)

I don't know how much time/money it'd take to get started, either...

I did some fooling around with my Apple computer and the Apple Garage Band software, using its loops and software instruments to make settings for my clarinet:

I have played around a little with looping, using a barrel-mounted pickup and a Line6 Pod XT Live. These are test tracks and not particularly clean. A click track might have helped with looping on "file0014a.mp3":

Track 0015 is right up my alley! Very cool. I'm gonna try some tracking with some other instruments also...
Keep 'em coming.

Bill:

I like the beginning and ending of "Clarinet Cult" the best!

Sorry to get in late on this -- I double-track my clarinet and ukulele from time to time. If it's just for your own enjoyment or to share with a few people, there's plenty of free recording software, but invest in a decent mic. And I definitely recommend a click track!
