My V13 recently shattered and I'm having trouble finding an equivalent in both facing and general tonal quality. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what mouthpieces I could replace it with?

Actually NoelH, I've never heard of the V13. Is (was) it a crystal mouthpiece?

I never did either until I bought one on clearance at a music store. It is a profile 88 mouthpiece, came out when the M series started. If I remember correct, it is similar to a B45, but with a longer facing.

According to Vandoren, the V13 had a tip opening of 116.5 (1.165 mm), and a Long facing length.
The V13 "Produces a rich and centred (sic) sound (similar to the B45) while using stronger reeds. This mouthpiece is recommended for symphonic music."
It was available (in 2003) only in American pitch 13 Series Profile 88.
Vandoren recommended 3, 3.5, 4 in traditional reeds and 3.5, 4, 4.5 in V12 reeds.
By comparison, the B45 had a tip opening of 119.5 (1.195 mm), and a Medium Long facing. The recommended reeds are 0.5 softer than the V13 recommendations.
None of this tells you where to get another V13, but it will help you to compare it to other Vandoren mouthpieces.
