Boosey and Hawkes Imperial 926

Hi Everyone.

I got an Imperial 926 on Ebay and it is missing the bottom bell ring and am thinking of taking in to a shop to have them put a ring on it but from doing a little research on the bboard, it seems that they were all missing the bottom bell ring. Is that true or did it just fall off? It is made to look like it should have had a ring. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Most wooden B&H bells look like this: http://www.clarinetperfection.com/galleryclar/BH/926/p07.JPG which is normal.

Some instruments made for the export market had a nickel silver bell ring: http://www.clarinetperfection.com/galleryclar/BH/Edgeware/1.jpg, though most sold in the UK only had the socket ring.

Hi. Thank you so much for the information and the pictures. That is what mine looks like and so I don't need to bother to go to a shop and have them put on that bottom ring. It saves me a lot of trouble and expense. Bonnie
