I recently purchased a Yamaha YCL 550 (used). It came with a Woodwind G8 mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is hard rubber and has Woodwind written in gold--a gold line under same and then the word company in small letters. It also has a Leblanc logo- a small circular "button" logo in raised plastic with the words
" Woodwind Company USA" Can anyone tell me if this is a recent "educator" mouthpiece? I've looked thru various internet sites and have not found a mouthpiece that is an exact match. The lettering on the mouthpiece is partially rubbed off giving it the appearance of an older mouthpiece.
Thank you!

This mouthpiece was fairly popular in Michigan in the early 1970's. It was considered a good mouthpiece.
