Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone of you tried the BG France clarinet mouthpieces? What I know is that there are two models B1 and B2 which are both crafted from zinner blanks. I wanted to find out more about these mouthpieces but it seems that there are no information about their facing length, tip opening on the internet. Any advice or comments who have tried these mouthpieces are appreciated.

Hi,
I don't know anything about their facing length and tip opening, but I have both model B1 and B2, I use these mouthpiece exclusively since two years with a great success and satisfaction.
Before I've used a pair of vandoren m30 and m15 now sold.
The BG are more confortable to me and perform exceptionally well with legere reeds, and I can confirm that they are made from a zinner blank.
For your information my setup, quite different from the mainstream italian player, consist of a pair (Bb&A) of Buffet Crampon Festival both greenline, for the reeds I use
Vandoren traditional blue box 3.5 and 4 and Legere reeds 4 and 4 1/4 with rovner Mark III and vandoren klassik string ligature.
Hope this help
Greetings from Italy
Andrea

Hi Andrea,
I also experience great luck with BG Mouthpiece (I'm using a B2). The tone is darker, more focused and very consistent throughout the registers than my previous mouthpiece. I have been using a Vandoren B40 for many years and I feel slightly more secured with the BG mouthpiece. However, the B2 lacks slightly in the immediate response in vandoren mouthpieces.
I'm not sure how it performs with Legere reeds but I may try it one day.
My setup is Buffet Crampon RC Prestige, Chadash Barrel, Vandoren V12 3.5 with Pyne String Ligature.

I tried out the BG mouthpieces at clarinetfest. I was pleasantly surprised. Good mouthpieces. It was definitely something I could play. However I am rather picky with mouthpieces, and it just didn't let me play as effortlessly as I want in a mouthpiece.

Hi there,
Howarth can get them, but they are a low volume seller, so I have taken them off of our mouthpiece page. I can get them as a special order only if you so desire.
