Question on this style custom case

I have the case, and I'm going to create custom case VERY similar to this one. I'm wondering if it's ok to leave the foam like that, or if it's recommended to buy some velvet from a shop and line it. And if so, what kind of glue should I use? Thanks.

Isn't that Hanson's demonstration package? It really looks impressive... but lugging it around is not that trivial a matter.

This foam doesn't flake apart like the traditional velvet covered stuff. It's the same as you'd find lining scientific equipment cases or microphone cases - it's fine.

Yup. That picture is from Hanson's site. I don't mind lugging around a little weight. I justify it by saying, "Well, at least all I have to carry are clarinets. Look at the OTHER orchestral instruments that people lug around every day!"
