Hi There, I am actually interested in finding someone who knows alot about Crampon Clarinet's that may be willing to help me. My brother passed away and left me his clarinet. I tried to contact the company but with no luck. I'd like to get an age on it, as well as value so that I can insure it properly. I am not looking to sell it, and any help you can give would be appreciated. It has serial numbers 53002 on it, and has a marking of B 67 on it as well. The condition is excellent as is the original case. Thank you, John

Are you perhaps thinking of a Buffet-Crampon clarinet? I'm trying to remember, offhand, when the cutoff was between older style Buffets and the R13., serial number wise. If it's a Buffet, it would be from the mid-'50s., IIRC.
