RSR Bass clarinet to low C

has anybody heard of or had any experience with the RSR bass clarinet to low C being sold by Richard "Sax" Ross in LA? It is a very cheap Chinese ebonite import and usually cheap means just that ie. NOT good. However one hears comments that instruments from China are getting better.

I don't have experience with this one, but it seems identical or almost the same as other low C bass clarinets from China. Here is what I recently wrote on another thread:

Thanks, clarnibass although it would be more helpful to hear from someone who has actually tried out this particular model.

The RSR clarinet costs around $1000 ie. incredibly cheap by comparison with high quality instruments such as grenadilla Buffet or Selmer instruments!!! Tom Ridenour's Chinese import with his adjustments is nearly 3 times the price of the RSR so I wonder if Tom's low C bases better than the average low C Chinese imports?

I'd feel better if the brand were "RBCR" and were being sold by a guy named Richard "Bass Clarinet" Ross.
