Manufacture date Buffet E13 ?

Hello,

I have just purchased a Buffet E13 # K 169755.

The serial number lists available on the Web do not extend to this number.

Does anyone know when this clarinet might have been manufactured?

The highest serial number I can find in the Buffet serial number list for your clarinet is 168611. That instrument was made on January 23, 2007. Given Buffet's production of this model, I would estimate yours was made later in 2007 or possibly early 2008.

Mine is K171459, and I bought mine in August 2007, so it must be earlier than that.

Using the results from these 3 Clarinets, assuming a constant rate of production by Buffet, your clarinet is roughly 1/2 way between the two, so I would assume it is around April or May 2007.
