G# in Messager Solo de Concours

My edition is Alphonse leDuc Editions musicales (c) 1954

In the cadenza, in the first tuplet group there is a G# accidental. In the second group there is a plain G written (after E natural - the 5th note of the group) and since there is no barline between the groups the sharp should still apply, but it sounds wrong to me with G#s. Similarly the first group has a flattened high G (top space) and the second group doesn't naturalise the G, but again I feel it should be G natural in the second group - otherwise it doesn't make any harmonic sense.

Can anyone clarify?

I'm guessing you are talking about the one that starts on the C#? Yes, its a cadenza, so I've always played the "G" you're talking about as a G natural. Not 100% positive however, anyone wanna validate this?

I'm pretty sure it's a G natural. The implied harmony appears to be a C#dim7 chord, which is made up of C#, E natural, G natural, and Bb. The D#'s, F#'s and B#'s are functioning as appoggiaturas.

The previous figure (the one starting on C natural) is essentially the same thing, harmonically speaking, except it's a half-step lower.
