 Homemade Case

I've been reading around on here looking at some examples of homemade cases. I'm currently lugging around my Bb clarinet in a standard Buffet case inside an Altieri backpack case cover. It's a pain, and things slide around a lot in there...
I would like to make a backpack clarinet case. My teacher has one that she made herself from a purse she bought at Kohl's... but of course, the model/brand has been discontinued. What I'm looking for is a zip around backpack purse that would be big and deep enough to place molded styrofoam into while still keeping my clarinet safe from harm. I would most-likely cover the foam with silk/satin or velvet. I'm searching around Ebay and through department stores, but no luck yet.
Any ideas?
